We are delighted to announce, that WWSA has joined The International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (INTERCARGO) as Associate Member. The decision was approved by the WWSA Board at its last meeting.
INTERCARGO was convened for the first time in 1980 in London and has participated with consultative status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) since 1993.
INTERCARGO provides a forum where dry bulk shipowners, managers, and operators can be informed about, discuss, and share concerns on key topics and regulatory challenges, particularly in relation to safety, the environment, and operational excellence. The Association advances its Members’ positions to the IMO, as well as to other shipping and international industry fora, upholding free and fair competition as a guiding principle.
We hope that this cooperation will bring new opportunities and mutual success for WWSA members.
