WWSA General Assembly meeting held at Antwerp on 16th May 2011

World Wide Shipagencies Association (WWSA), have held their latest General Assembly on 16th May 2011 in Antwerp, hosted by their Belgian member Boeckmans België NV

This steadily growing organization registered at Antwerp was formed in September 2007 with the aim to form a strong world wide group of high profiled, independent ship agency companies, exchanging and providing relevant maritime information to their co-members, as well as specific information for the principals they represent.

Through the constant screening of the participating Members, both financially and by performance, WWSA can guarantee a reliable, financially sound expert partner in any of the countries where it has member-presentation.
The main objectives of WWSA are to create an enormous think tank of independent agency companies exchanging valuable Information about their respective countries on the latest developments and also providing mutual assistance to members in business development and providing a reliable platform for Principal’s and Customer’s.

To date the organization counts 33 members, representing 33 countries. Not less than 29 attendants from those countries were welcomed at the day long meeting on 16th May 2011, at which, amongst many other topics, the latest two newcomers, being Slovenia and Russia, presented themselves to the Assembly after a warm welcome by the Secretary.

The next Assembly will take place at Malta 9th October 2011.
